This year’s Wine & Cheese Experience is dedicated to our beloved Brother Sylvester “Sly” Taylor who passed away in 2021.
Brother Taylor had over 40 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry, with 28 of those years spent at Walt Disney World Resort in Hospitality. His most rewarding roles were Certified Meeting Planner and Wine Sommelier in Convention Services.
His love of wine and hospitality led to him starting the wine and cheese experience over 15 years ago.
To honor his legacy, the Taylor family launched the Sylvester Taylor Invictus Hospitality Scholarship. Named after his favorite poem, the scholarship seeks to reward High School Seniors, Undergraduate, Trade School, and Graduate school students who are pursuing a career in the hospitality and food service industry.
A portion of the proceeds from The Wine & Cheese Experience will help award more scholarships to deserving students.

The Delta Xi Lambda Chapter Of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was established in December 1953 in Orlando, FL. Our purpose is to develop leaders, promote brotherhood and provide service and advocacy for our Orlando, FL community.
We strive to stimulate the ambition of our members; to prepare them for the greatest usefulness in the causes of humanity, freedom, and dignity of the individual; to encourage the highest and noblest form of manhood; and to aid down-trodden humanity in its efforts to achieve higher social, economic and intellectual status.
Through our education foundation we promote, support, and instill in youth the values of high educational achievement, leadership and community service. We also provide academic, personal, leadership and social development to young men in the Metro Orlando area through the Young Men of Distinction Male Mentoring Program (YMOD).
